In chemical industry it is applied in technological processes of receiving sulfuric acid and oxide of magnesium, by production of synthetic detergents as the stabilizer of perekisny connections.
In agriculture sulfate of magnesium is used as effective magnesian sulfur-containing fertilizer of the soil under crops. Increases productivity, improves tastes of potatoes, vegetables due to increase in contents in fruits of starch and vitamins. In vegetable growing of the protected soil it is used for the main gas station of soil and substrata.
The textile industry applies sulfate of magnesium in technological processing of fabrics as a filler of materials, a weighting compound of silk and cotton, pickle to painting of fabrics and as the bleaching component.
In construction it is applied as an additive to the device of the road and airfield bases and coverings. Is a part of magnesian cement.

Magnesium sulfate needs to be stored in the closed dry warehouse. Storage is carried out in a standard original packing by stacks. When warehousing it is not necessary to create stacks higher than three tiers. At storage it is necessary to preserve a product against hit of moisture and damage of packing.
